THOMAS LOPEZ-PIERRE ARRESTED
Charged with Multiple Criminal Offenses
(New York, NY) Thomas Lopez-Pierre, owner of Lopez –Pierre Realty, LLC, aka Live Uptown Harlem, was arrested on February 15, 2011, by detectives of the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. Lopez-Pierre was charged with two counts of stalking in the third degree and six counts of aggravated harassment in the second degree. The complaining witnesses are Joseph H. Holland, Esq., his sister Lucy Holland-Harden, and her husband Robert Harden, who are long-standing Harlem entrepreneurs/residents and the founding partners of the Harlem restaurant Gospel Uptown doing business as Uptown Grand. The criminal complaint documents a series of threats made by Lopez-Pierre against the victims as part of his malicious email campaign, containing not only threats but false and disparaging information, designed to force the family members to pay him money to which he had no legal entitlement. Because Lopez-Pierre’s communications to and about the complainants were perpetrated to extort, harass and cause them to fear physical injury, the Criminal Court issued an order of protection against Lopez-Pierre, prohibiting him from having any contact with Holland, Holland-Harden, and Harden while the case is pending.
In an action also arising out of his misconduct, Lopez-Pierre is being sued by Holland, Holland-Harden and Harden for defamation, harassment and intentional infliction of emotional harm. The civil suit seeks more than $1,000,000.00 in actual and punitive damages.
